January 27, 2011 “Not recommended if you want to be found”
Well, this is when you enter SHOE MAKING as a title of your work in some internet project forum. Sad. I should have been a web designer or a jewelry maker “artist”… 
I mean… I don’t have problems with jewelry makers, but why shoemaker is not there also?

Sad indeed. But there are far too many so-called ‘web designers’ and ‘artists’ out there already. And perhaps the internet project designers don’t realize how many ‘shoe makers’ there are, or at least shoe making hopefuls… !

Maybe. if you call yourself a ‘shoe artist’..you would have had better luck. Craftman, also could have a chance..I guess.

If I would be a “shoe-artist”, I would call myself that. I am a proud shoemaker. (I guess my grandpa – if he would be still with us – would call me stupid to use names like this)

So many people are so far removed from manufacturing now that their understanding of what we do to make a living is completely alien to them I feel. Coupled with the chance of making a mistake that could ruin the whole piece of work, we tread a perilous path. Still we continue to strive for perfection!
