Shoes and Craft

A shoemaker's blog about shoemaking

So shortly what happened the last few days in my workshop.

1. We have a dog. OK, we just borrow her sometimes. And, no – her name is not Cujo. She is a very nice puppy in a huge body. Comes in to the workshop every day and says hello to everyone, then lay down, hoping that someone has some time to stroke and rub her. Then try to stay… with no success. πŸ™‚

2. Adri and DΓ³ra have finished their first pair of shoes! What we should know about these tho girls? They attend a local college to becase a shoe designer, so they found me to train them. I thought there is no better training than make a shoe – so we did. Here is the result, with Adri’s small foot. Lovely isn’t it? πŸ™‚

Then that baby foot.. πŸ™‚

3. I finished a black osford. Unfortunately I had to deliver quickly, so there were no time to make a professional picture. This came from my phone. Details: french boxcalf, thick lining, double sole English welted, natur coloured finish, metal tap toe.
