In a row of presenting shoemaker friends let me introduce Mr. Craig Corvin, who was one of my first apprentice, visiting my workshop twice, maybe keeping courses together in the future.
This is a link for his quite interesting (and no doubt that written in a perfect English, not like mine 🙂 ), blog about his journey in the craft.
Enjoy:
Thanks Marcell for the link and kind words!
Does this mean I have to start posting interesting things on my blog?
Well… You should.. 🙂 then start to make a small MTO collection to collect some funds to come to Hungary.. Don’t blame me that I don’t advertise you..
I was looking for info on TruLok “Snap Jack” shoes and saw Craig Corvin’s information. Is there anyone making such shoes with that fastening mechanism and, if so, where may they be bought? I’m recovering from hip replacement surgery and shoes like this could really help me out. As a matter of fact there are millions of senior citizens out there who have trouble bending and reaching their feet for any reason. They would love shoes like this.
Thanks for your help,

Dear Dave,
I don’t think that you can find those shoes anymore (maybe i am wrong), but if i may suggest: choose a simple wide slip in shoe, so you don’t have to use your hip to take it on. If you need a special fit – it is easy to order. (feel free to inform me if you need any more help)
