I recently got this comment on my youtube channel, for my first video:
“this is not how to make a shoe, moron! ” how to make” are tutorials and this is not one! imbecil!”
More than 185.000 hits didn’t find it useless, but this guy yes. I would mention that there are 14 other videos about shoemaking, what I made asking any cents for them, I got hundreds of feedback from people, who could use them learning some techniques, but I still got these comments. Could you imagine that you can generate hate with shoemaking videos? Funny.
If you have a minute, take a look.. maybe also comment.

I have made ten pairs of shoes and boots thanks almost entirely to your youtube videos. I eventually found a few more sources and blogs, but the first three pairs of shoes were entirely completed based on studying your videos and from no othe source. That’s a funny, nasty comment, and just nonsense.
Marcel, when are you going to relax and stop taking notice of these idiots? There is a saying on the internet “Don’t feed the troll”. By giving them attention you just keep feeding them. It’s annoying for you and it’s annoying for your normal reader to see you rant about it.
He is just bitter because he cannot create…no skill and no love.
Actually, there were a 2nd and a 3rdf part, I just didn’t post yet. You know what? Here they are:
meucuzinho (15 hours ago): stoooooooopid!
Me: Thanks again. I can’t be grateful enough for your visits.
meucuzinho (10 hours ago): stop talking bs and change the tittle of your video to ” how shoes are made” because your video is not a tutorial!!!!!!! ” How to make a shoe – Part 1.” sounds objectively, directly like a tutorial, and you end up misleading people because YOU’RE NOT TEACHING ANYONE ANYTHING! why is it so hard to understand it, you serene highness? Use merit in order to get atention! No reply necessary!!!!!
Me: Sir. 1: You and no other nameless internet troll will not tell me what should I do, reply or not. 2: I didn’t ask your opinion, especially if you can’t express yourself like a cultured human being – politely. 3: I teach hundred people every year personally and inform thousand more every year with videos like these. 4: Internet means you are free to choose what you look what you don’t – if you don’t like these videos, it is so easy: just don’t watch them.
Welcome to youtube
This phenomenon is well enough known to have inspired a couple of great cartoons:

Personally I never read youtube comments. They just destroy my faith in humanity.
FWIW, I like your videos and I’ve found them very useful.
