Shoes and Craft

A shoemaker's blog about shoemaking

Did you know that the Ford T model invention involved two Hungarian names?

Let me quote from wikipedia:

The Ford Model T car was designed by Childe Harold Wills and two Hungarian immigrants, Joseph A. Galamb[10] and Eugene Farkas.[11] Henry Love, C. J. Smith, Gus Degner and Peter E. Martin were also part of the team.[12] While production of the Model T began in the autumn of 1908,[13] model years range from 1909 to 1927.

And this is my entry to the ready to wear market: the Koronya “K” model. My philosophy is pretty much the same: make affordable, but still high quality product – any color… as long as it is black. (Ford: “Any customer can have a car painted any colour that he wants so long as it is black”).

So what we have to know about this beauty (yeah.. I am biassed…)?

– All JR leather – even the heel layers for the better consistency

– Made from black French boxcalf (good stuff)

– bevelled waist

– last is “no. 224” – my design

– there will be 2 widths

– English welt

– entirely handmade

– 100% Koronya

We take only pre orders, which doesn’t mean any obligation to purchase, but an advantage: we will sell first the ones who has choosen that option. Most probably we can only make a few pairs in a month.
