There is something special in these little shoes. First of all: somehow all of my friends feel necessary to share their birthday date immediately. Isn’t it funny?
If you want to hear about the details: the scale is 50% exactly. These are NOT baby shoes, way too narrow to the baby foot on the other hand I don’t plan to remove the last – this way they can preserve their shape for decades. I put a full thickness sole leather on them. they took to make almost as long as a real shoe with a tiny difference of finishing, which was way more difficult.
There is no point to carry these little shoes like this, I just couldn’t resist to show how small they are.
Size 6 😉 (nooooooo)
A sneak peak from the making process.
This puts a big grin on my face. thank you, Marcell.
I still have the mini last you gave me, but could not bear, as yet, to try making a tiny shoe on it. It’s too darn cute. Once you thought of making shadow boxes with tiny shoes like these – are you still thinking of doing that? Odd you should mention baby shoes though: yesterday at an antiques show I found a bunch of Victorian/early 20th century kids’ shoes, ranging from a baby bootie to what might have been a very tiny girl child’s party shoes – complete with a little bag for each shoe – maybe I can photograph them and post the results. There’s something compelling about such historical artefacts – every shoe tells a story?

Hmm, souvenirs!
I discovered this blog this weekend, I was very surprised when I found out that you enjoy making miniature shoes, because I do too, but much smaller. My shoe range is 1:12, known as scale for Dollhouse …Hugs.
Dear Sir, can you make athletic shoes such as football cleats – low, mid and high top? I’m in to miniature building to and I would like to acquire several pair.
